Do you use patterns ever or just on your own?
For these dress designs, I don’t use patterns. I based a lot of the fabric pieces on dresses I’ve seen before and my measurements. I have used patterns for other projects though, like a few dresses for my little sister (:
Have you ever thought of doing a dress tutorial?
I have! However, I’ve noticed that I tend to improvise dress designs along the way. Especially with the t-shirt to dress designs. As much as I’d love to share how-tos, it’s a little tough considering I don’t like to remake or retry my designs. (I don’t have that much time to spare) :/
The _____ dress you made.. would you consider making & selling another one in a different size?
Unfortunately, I still have to work on the durability of my designs. It’s the only reason why I don’t sell/make clothing for other people right now. Also! I don’t really like the idea of mass producing my creations, even with my old art, I’ve never made “another one”
Do you think you would sell dresses any time soon?
Hopefully! They would be sold as one-of-a-kinds & quality made fersure.. so give me a few.. months/years? D:
I don’t have any experience or a sewing machine for that matter. I was wondering… where do I start? I don’t want to spend more than $150 on a sewing machine though …
Observe different fabrics/designs & learn how they move/fit. & you can actually find a cheap & working sewing machine at almost any flea market! Just grab one for yourself & get comfortable with it (:
